Gettign around peru by bus by jake5148
Peru is a huge country with lots of great things to see, you can go south and see the mountains and the deserts west and you can got to the amazons north you can go to Machupichu but how do you get there? Well there are few destinations that are served by airplane in Peru so unless your going to Tacna or Cusco You will have to take a bus. Taking a bus is not like the yellow cheese wagons you went to school in, they have very nice and very comfortable buses that can get you around the country. Be very careful there are notorious for crashing and having accidents since lots of the highway has only two lanes and they have to perform crazy maneuvers to pass slower vehicles but if you choose the right company you shouldn't have a problems. I was going to Chala about 8 hrs away form Lima and every single person I asked recommended I go with either Cruz del Sur or Ormeno. When I went down to Chala I paid about 56 Soles or $15 Usd for the ticket which was an economy ticket, the seat was more comfortable than any economy seat on a an airplane and we had a movie and very few stops. I slept the whole way. On the way back we use Ormeno but we left from Nasca which is a very popular tourist destination here we had no choice but to go on the fancy class which I think they called royal class, All the lines have these services. The price was about 90 Soles or $30 Usd for about a 6 hour trip and well it was very very comfortable, the seat reclined almost like a bed and we had 3 movies during the trip, we also got a little meal. I recomend traveling either Ormeno or Cruz del Sur.
