Home Away from Home
While visiting Lima in 2003, I stayed at Los Girasoles Hotel in Miraflores. I spent about 8 nights total at the hotel, and have no complaints.
It's a fairly small hotel, with approximately 20 rooms, and a small restaurant. The staff are very friendly and courteous, although they speak , at most, broken English. You can arrange day tours of the city and the museos from the front desk
The hotel is a short walk from central Miraflores - with a cheap Internet place nearby as well
Note that this hotel is used by a major adventure expedition company, so rooms can fill up - but you'll also meet people with interesting stories to tell over a Pisco Sour.
Unique Quality: The hotel is much nicer on the inside than the outside - the hotel is very much like a villa - with the center of the building open to the sky - so you can have your breakfast in the sun.
