We chose this place because it looked nice on the website and it was close to the airport - we landed at 11pm and left again at 7am. we just needed a bed. ... the Hotel Melodia was just fine. They have an airport transfer ($10 each way) and big signs with your name on it as you leave customs. ... We got checked in and just slept, but the little bit I saw of the hotel was fine. The room was small, and a little outdated, but clean. the bathroom was nice. ... You can't drink the water though. ... Like many places in Lima, there was a lot of noise outside, from traffic and car radios. ... Rooms range from $38 to US$60 for typical singles and doubles. They also provide breakfast in the morning, and she even had them make it early for us since we were leaving so early.
Standard hotel - high rise building, in a very urban area. But it wasn't far from the airport, which is what we wanted. Prices were reasonable, the staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was very nice at 5am. ... It definitely helped to speak Spanish though, the staff didn't speak much English.
