Most trips are 2 or 3 day tours.
You may want to contact Lima Tours S.A. A well-known tour agency in Lima (since over 50 years) but will not come cheap but maybe can help you out.

Sometimes the Miraflores municipality has day trips in that direction but I see only a day-trip to the Islas Ballestas (Pisco/Paracas) on 23 and 28 Feb. and their tours are mostly Spanish-only but nevertheless worthwile to attend. They used to occupy the info-booth next to the Cathedral in Parque Kennedy in Miraflores but that changes frequently (who occupies it).

Travel Tips for Lima
viewing the colourful countryside
by crummey
Thank god for garbage. Driving north frm Lima you drive along the deserty coastline. And the garbage is scattered across this part of Peru like coloured candies across the top of a bithday cake. It is a welcome and colourful distraction from what would otherwise only be a boring and featureless desert landscape. Peru is festooned with non-biodegradable garbage; fanta bottles and plastic bottles of all colours, garbage bags, shopping bags, car parts, adidas sneakers, vinyl etc. This multi coloured garbage is found strewn across the country side. And where that there are people...anywhere near some mud huts, there are literally mountains of it all mixed in with the desert sand. It is very pretty to look at. like so many christmas decorations. Lima is a typical South American capital. All of these cities have the same problems. But poeple are people and the people of Lima can be very gracious
Surfing is big in Lima and the surrounding beaches
by AKtravelers
We are not surfers, but from what everyone told us, the beaches around Lima are hot surfing destinations. In fact, one of the top surfers on the women's professional cicuit gre up surfing these beaches. I can't remember her Eastern European sounding name, but she is known by everyone in Lima as "La Gringa" even though she's a native Peruvian. In fact, she was named one of the top two most famous Peruvians this year -- the other being the Miss Universe winner.
This surfing beach is right in Lima, below the cliffs of Miraflores. The water isn't very clean and my cousin got pretty cut up swimming unprotected here, but apparently the locals with the right equipment enjoy it -- there were around a hundred surfers in the water one Sunday.
The most fun you can have in Lima
by baanasta about Bier House
Bier House is a very cool bar that has everything you would want in a bar:
1. Good music (mix of hip-hop, 80s, salsa, Latin pop)
2. Dance floor
3. Tables for hanging out with friends
4. Relatively cheap
5. Fun atmosphere
6. Open late
7. Down-to-earth crowd
It is located just off the main Pizza Calle street and should be easy to find if you ask anyone. It picks up on Thursday and tends to get real crowded on Fridays and Saturdays. S/10 cover with free drink. Pretty lax.

Popular eateries
by SirRichard
If you are on a tight budget or wanna try food the way locals do, there are many street stalls in the streets in Lima. Most of them are near markets or in popular festivities and religious feasts. The menu is obviously restricted but tasty and delicious... and extremely cheap. You just go, sit on the common benches and ask for the dish you like (or just point at it if you don't speak spanish). The woman in charge will serve you a generous portion and you can even order a drink.
For dessert, go to the next vendor!
