La Mansa Beaches
Hi all!
I was hoping someone would be able to assist me with this - I am thinking about going to Punta Del Este for 3 days from around the 25th until the 28th of February. Would this be a good time to go there? ...in terms of still having a good nightlife - or would it have slowed down a fair bit?
Also, would anyone have any good suggestions on where to stay - we are probably looking at paying anything from low-medium price ranges in either a hostel or hotel.
Any suggestions would be more than appreciated!

Hi Steve,
Late Feb is almost end of season but you'll get a good time; perhaps not as much nightlife as in early Jan but, in my opinion, even better because it won't be soooo crowded.
I can't suggest hotels because I've never stayed at hotels there, but my suggestion is to make reservations as soon as possible.

I thought that might be the case - just wanted to double check before i book any accommodation. Onwards to Punta Del Este - cant wait..
La Mansa involves all the beaches located in a strip that goes from downtown PDE to Punta Ballena, 14 kms. westwards.
These beaches overlook the PDE bay with its calm sea, ideal for bathing and windsurfing. Older people prefer the Mansa side which is quieter and less fashionable. If you like to be on the hot spots where younger people hang out, just take the car and head to the Brava.
