Tanger

We arrived in Punta del Este without any accomodation. We went to a few other hotels we knew, but finally decided for the Tanger Hotel. The owner is a very nice man, born in Morocco (Tanger). He and every other employee were very nice and very helpful. They made everything possible for us to stay for 4 nights, although we had to change rooms 2 times.
The hotel is really close to the Mansa and the Brava beaches (1 block from each). It's located 2 blocks away from the center, and 3 blocks from the Port. The location is GREAT!!! I would really recommend this hotel if you're planning on staying in Punta del Este and don't want to spend $300 at the Conrad! :o)

Unique Quality: The hotel has 2 pools, one in the terrace on the 5th floor and the other one next to the lobby (hot water, jacuzzi). The view from the terrace and from some of the rooms is great. From the terrace you can see the Mansa and the Brava beaches as well as a beautiful landscape. Some rooms are also facing the Mansa beach.
The hotel rates include breakfast (coffee, tea, bread, croissants, fruits, etc).
