Horseriding (more than 4 hours a day), eating (they have a real cook!), sleeping (bedrooms are perfect and so quiet), swimming (they have 3 swimming pool, one indoor), taking photos (including at night), watching stars (so many!!!!!!!!), watching birds and other fauna (dogs, donkeys, nandus, carpinchos....). Sport facilities (tennis, raquet ball, snooker, ping pong...). Baby sitters. Church.
Nothing else. Enough?
The water is very very good, they have their own source.
Service is very efficient.
Building is from the 19th century, english touch in south America.
They have a terrific library full of old books and magazines from the beginning of the century. Impressive! I stayed here for three nights at the beginning of my trip to Uruguay, and one night at the end, on my way out. It's a big house located in the centre of the new town, about 10 minutes walk from the old town. Charo, the very friendly lady owner, can usually be found in the clothing store next door, which she also owns.
The house has a variety of rooms. The first time I lucked out and got a huge room with bathroom, and even a little kitchen with table and fridge! If I remember well, it was only US $7 a night! The second time I got a tiny room without bathroom for something like $4 or $5.
Not much in terms of breakfast (possibly some dry pastry and orange drink if you're lucky); better to get something in town.
Quiet, centrally located place. Very friendly and congenial owner. Possibility of getting a big room for a few dollars!
