Campamento Los Angeles

For two nights we stayed at Campamento Los Angeles, a camp in the middle of the savannah. It is a quiet place, well except for the frogs that can sing loud. We stayed in hammocks in a room with good mosquito nets covering the windows. The hammock was good as I slept quite well in it. Behind a curtain there was a bathroom and shower. More toilets and showers can be found in another building.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served in the house with the kitchen and the food was good. Best was the piranha we ate one evening! I prepared ginger tea in the kitchen for my cough, but the first night I made it far too strong. The ginger I had been given in a store in Mérida when I bought honey
Walking along the road outside the gates of Campamento Los Angeles you will see lots of different birds, and caimans and turtles by the water
