We went with no reservation and we were lucky we find a room (some one last minut cancel). Do your reservation if is a long weekend or festivities.

It does not have service of food, but in the town are a lot of restaurant were to eat.

You don´t really need to book a place to sleep if you arrive in Choroni on any day other than a National Holiday or a long weekend. Just go into any place marked "posada" or "hostal". Of course, you have to ask for the price first. Prices range from very cheap to very, very expensive. Just keep in mind that cheap doesn´t always mean ugly and dirty!

They have rooms of all sizes, all of them very nice and well kept. Some of them have air conditioning, the rest have fans. There is only cold water, but the temperature outside is very hot, so you won't miss the hot water. I stayed at this posada during my trip to Choroni. The place is really beautiful surrounded by gardens. The rooms are confortable and big. The best with this place is that it is close to the beach but at the same time far enough from the noise of Puerto Colombia, the party town. I really recommend this place to people looking for a relaxed vacation in Choroni

One of the biggest reason for your stay in this POSADA is Doña Cecilia!!!!
SHE IS ABSOLUTELY OUTSTUNNING AND EXTREME GORGEOUS. She has the wisdon of time and she is very well graduated in the school of life!
Her daughter prepares great local food like these delicious empanadas!!!
And she offers very simple acoomodation...
It is just a room and the toilets and showers are in the back of the Posada, she keeps everything clean!!!

We read about it and couldn't believe it, so we booked it. It's as described. Has two different room options. The one we took was 400blv (55 euros). It does have it's own little PRIVATE garden with plants and everything AND a big-working and with hot water outdoor jacuzzi!! What a perfect way to end ur beach/adventure day!
The room by itself isn't special at all, but it's clean and spacious. Another thing i liked was that the shower didn't have any walls on its back--it was facing the garden, which was funny. U could just walk out of it...
The breakfast was a joke, but the owners smile and attitude forced us to forget about it. Oh yeah, the owners are very special people. Prepare yourself to be hugged like 5 times/day :)
Totally recommend it if u have spare money left + Puerto Colombia is a great place to relax!!

Accomodation in Choroni is a little bit difficult to find a good one and with regular price, I found Turpial when I was walking the old colonial streets in the small city centre! This one has INTERNET for all guests!!! SOMETHING RARE IN THIS COUNTRY!!!
