We had booked the basic version of the Rio Caura trip sleeping in hammocks. Unfortunately my husband´s back couldn't stand sleeping in them. So instead of, on our way back, returning to the basic camp, we asked our tour guide to take us to Las Trincheras. There is this lovely posada, partly for hammocks but partly with small houses/lodges/rooms. We had the nicest cutest little house with a great view over the river.
The sorroundings are outstanding. The different houses/rooms are very cute, e.g. there's one with a big terrace built on stilts and almost hanging over the river. Nice food, too. It's a great place!
