Villa Caribe: Plush hotel on the beach
There is a large, rather swish (and apparently overpriced) hotel with nice grounds and pool areas on the actual beach, called Villa Caribe. (Link & details below).
They have lovely pools, a good beach restaurant, sunshades etc and a little entertainment for the small people, (not overbearing).
We have spent time on their section of the beach , seen grounds, shop (small) , reception areas of the hotel, but never stayed there. It looks pretty plush, but the Opera Singer tells me it is extremely overpriced. Still, the sunsets you can witness from that spot are priceless !
