Free camping: Better than a 5 stars hotel

If u want to stay in touch with the nature of the cayos u can do free camping with your tent on the islands.
Before u have to go to the imparque Office that is only in Tucacas to pay the camp tax, 1000 bolivares per person per day. U have to go to the Banesco bank with the number of Imparque account and after return to the Imparque office for the stamp on your permission.
I'll do it, but some Cichiriviche friends told me only a few people do it!

The camping are permitten only on 4 Cayos:
Payclas
Sombrero
Muerto e Sal

On these islands there is a Imparque house, where the Renger can give u help if u need.
Remember that during weekend the islands are packed and all the time is better to put the tent under a tree but in a in-shore wind position so u will not have problems with mosquitos and jejenes!
If u prefer a hammoc, do it but rememebre to take with u a mosquito net or u cannot sleep.

Remember that on the island there isn't potable water, there are only toilet, no electricity, and u can find something to eat only during the day when the lunchonete are opened ( they clase a 3 o'clok during hte week) ore the fisherman offer u fish, lobster or fresh chevice and marineted mariscos( incredible).
Rememeber that u are on a island, u have to take away your garbage( like nobody do!) and be carefull of your money and passport!

Posadas turísticas Los Manglares (guest House): Good Option with a Boat

It locate inside the park, near to the marinas, it is take care by Grace and Alfredo. From there you can take a boat, to the beautiful islands at their private dock or you may park your boat at it.

Has a restaurant and bar by the sea front.

The only negative is that the gas station for boats is next to the private dock, but is the best choice if you are going with a boat and secure place were you can live you boat overnight.

Posada La Playa: Simple, unexpensive but very nice !!!

Is a good inn in Tucaca, that is near the Morrocoy National Park, praticely in front of SunWay Casino. There is swiming pool, and rooms with kitchen.
