Intercontinental Hotel Del Lago Maracaibo

My experience in Venezuela has shown that the Intercontinental Hotels are the most reliable high-end hotels. I've never stayed in one, but I've used the swimming pool, and have attended conferences at the one in Valencia. In a drive by inspection of the Maracaibo Del Lago, I found the appearances consistent with what I had experienced before. However, one Yahoo review claimed the service at the Del Lago was not to par found among this hotel chain.
