Restaurant Name: De Houten Paardjes

The name translates to The Wooden Horses. It's a restaurant hidden in de dunes outside the village Rockanje. I really didn't know about it. Surprisingly good cuisine and service.

Restaurant Name: Papagayou Beach Club

Modern, relaxed atmosphere with couches and low tables. Of course you can also have a romantic dinner here. Or enjoy a good cappucino on the terrace overlooking the beach.

Favorite Dish: The steaming hot bread with two kinds of butter and a special tapenade are a delicious starter or great with a drink. You can enjoy tapas or a good meal, served in style.

Restaurant Name: Papagayo Beach club

Magnificent setting right on the beach. A modern beach lounge (definitely visit website!), good food, and a busy place in summer for young and old (and take the dog).

Favorite Dish: Simply have a coffee or a drink, enjoy a small snack or have a culinary meal.
The menu has mainly fish, though meat eaters and vegetarians are also thought of. Look at the 3 photos for some delicious food!

A meal for two (2 course and 3 course) including drinks, amounted to 70 euro.

Restaurant Name: Badlust, beach pavillion

Badlust is a funny name for English speaking people. It means Bath delight
Bad=bath and yes Lust=lust but without the sexual connotation :-)

Anyway, this is by far my favourite beach pavillion because it is the most classic of the 4 that are within walking distance from each other (via the beach).

The food is old fashioned, they do a very good fried plaice and tomato soup. Not expensive, take dog or little kids, it's no problem.

Great place to sit, enjoy the sun and eat after a day on the beach and see the sun go down.

Favorite Dish: The plaice and the tomato soup.
For dessert old fashioned big ice creams

Directions: Although the address suggests otherwise, it's better to remember the address by: Eerste Slag, Rockanje. When you park, you walk the dune (5 minutes) and see Badlust on your right hand, on the beach.
