    • The Stony Plain Multicultural Centre is in the park in the centre of town. It consists of Opperhauser house, the original Stony Plain School and the memorial to Sherriff Umbach. He's the one who chained the wheel of the locomotive to the tracks, forcing the railway to pay its fair share of taxes.
