"The Hague for the 3rd time ..." a The Hague Travel Page by Bigjones

This time I went to The Hague to visit a friend and dance salsa. But I also went to the Escher museum for the first time. It makes you change your vision of the world !

In may 2004, we were in The Hague one day after "Koninginendag" (Queen's day), that's the reason why we are in orange which is the national colour representing the "House of Orange" (= the current Dutch dynasty).
After visiting The Hague, we headed for Delft, a nice little town that reminded me a bit of Brugge ...

The first time I went to The Hague was in July 2003 with my friend Sarah. This is where we started our mini-trip by bike in Holland : The Hague - Leiden - Amsterdam. That was a great experience and I hope to do that again in another part of the Netherlands. Even if we were laden with our camping material, the bike tour was not very difficult because it's very flat and the paths are really nice (in the nature : through the dunes, through forests, through fields ... ). On the first day, we slept in a camping in Kijkduin (about 6 km from The Hague) and we took our breakfast on the lovely beach next to the camping place before beginning our tour through the dunes first and through the city afterwards. And we liked this city so much that we decided to go there again soon. What we did !
