Just off the coast from Cannes are the Iles de Lerins - small archipelago with two main islands of Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat.
Cannes' beaches are usually overcrowded on summer so if you want to escape and find less people on the beach, take a boat for Sainte-Marguerite Island - the largest of the two Lerins Islands.

What a great island. It would have been great to see the fort and the cell - amazing. I am glad they are protecting the island - the forests and beaches just sound great. 5000 visitors a day...wow! |
