There are many souvenir shops in and around Plaza Mayor in Cuenca. In most of them you will find pottery and ceramic goods like those in the picture opposite!

This little shop is just inside Plaza Mayor to the right.

I took this photo because I thought the display looked interesting against the yellow back drop; then I thought I may as well put it under shopping tips as it demonstrates some things you can buy in Cuenca.

The photo was taken in a shop in Plaza Mayor Cuenca. I was wondering how Arfrican type masks found their way up to Cuenca. I certainly didn't see anymore around the town so if you like the look of these masks you'll have to find the same little shop in Plaza Mayor!!!
