Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: The weather changes quickly in Bergen, and you'll most likely need a water-resistant coat or (if it's not too windy, which it often is) an umbrella. There are actually several vending machines in central Bergen where you can buy umbrellas..! In a city this rainy, rubber boots are of course a fashion item, and you'll find colourful, cute rubber boots for sale everywhere...;-)

Also bring a warm sweater, even in summer - those bright, light summer nights might be chilly.

No trip to Bergen is complete without visiting at least one of the seven mountains surrounding the city - even though mount Ulriken and mount Fl?yen are easily accessible by cable car & funicular, you should bring shoes that are suitable for a walk along the many paths in the forests and mountains. Many of the streets in Bergen are cobbled, which means that the stiletto heels are better left at home...;-)
