During the Extreme Sports Week, Voss is the place to be if you're interested in rafting, skydiving, base jumping, kayaking, climbing, paragliding, hanggliding, kiting... (well, you get the picture..;o) The Extreme Sports Week takes place annually at Voss, about one hour's train ride from Bergen - in 2008 from June 22nd to 29th.

There are national and international competitions, and for the inexperienced it's possible to try some of the more or less nerve-wracking activities. It's not all about the sports though - there are concerts, shows and parties throughout the week.

Brann is a football team with long, proud traditions - the club was founded in 1908, and won its very first trophy in 1923.

Brann has played in Norway's premier league every season since 1987 - before that the club had its ups & downs... ;o)

Brann Stadium was opened in 1919, and has a maximum capacity of around 17800. On average ca 16700 extremely enthusiastic supporters come to watch the home games - but it can be very difficult to get tickets for important matches. The stadium has recently been renovated, but all stands were finished and ready for use in 2007.

Brann had a very good season in 2004, finished third in the league - and won the cup final...!! (In 2005 the team finished in 6th place...) Unfortunately Brann hasn't won the Norwegian premier league since 1963 - but THIS year I'm absolutely SURE it's going to happen again...!;o)
