Friday Night Pub Crawl

Friday is the big party night on Rarotonga, and loads of hotels & guesthouses arrange popular "pub crawls" where you're taken by minibus on a tour of some of the island's pubs. The pub crawls are a fun, hectic way of testing out the island's pubs, and if you don't want to take part in a pub crawl you'll probably run into the pub crawlers on Friday night anyway - it's a quite weird experience to be sitting in a relatively quiet pub, sipping a drink, when suddenly a bus load of singing, shouting tourists come stumbling in, party hard for half an hour before taking off again..:o) The pubs close at 2 am, so even after a night of dancing, singing & countless bottles of Cook's Lager you'll get up in time to visit the Punanga Nui Cultural Market early Saturday morning.
