It is hardly surprising that so many people simply enjoy chocolate, delight in it and see it as a heaven-sent gift.

Interesting is the annual per capita consumption of chocolate:
Switzerland 11.3kg (25 lb)
Germany 10.4kg (23 lb)
USA 5.3kg (11.5 lb)
Japan 2.1kg (4.6 lb)

In 2001, celebrating 100 years Chocosuisse, the Union of Swiss Chocolate Manufacturers, a special editon of Chocostamps had been released, not made of chocolate, but with the scent of it (see pic).

Name of Shop: several wineries in the area

The whole area around Maienfeld (called Bundner Herrschaft) is very well known for it's wine. Despite the alpin locations the climate is mild, and in fall mostly fogfree.
Several small privatly owned and operated wineries are offering wine tasting and sell there products.

What To Buy: Wine, Vinegar, Liquer

What To Pay: 15 CHF and up per bottle wine
