Sydney in 6 hours

Sydney Harbour & Bridge
This was a brief stop... I was transiting in Sydney for 8+ hours and I'd decided not to waste my time waiting in the airport (which is rather boring). So, I took a train out to the city & explore... I think here's what you can do in such a short time...
Part Sydney Skyline from Harbour Bridge

My Sydney Highlight Tour!!

Circular Quay was my first train stop from Sydney International Airport Terminal. A visit to Sydney Opera House is a must for me! Also got some good views of Sydney Harbour Bridge from Opera House & The Rocks. While in the area, I took the opportunity to shop @ the 2 flea markets - Sunday Tarpeian Market & The Rocks Market.

The next stop was @ Town Hall Station. My historic / architetcure tour in this area includes: Queen Victoria Building, Town Hall, St Andrew's, St Mary's...

Having explored the Town Hall area, I walked across to Darling Harbour, then wandered across to Chinatown. Darling Harbour was great, but Chinatown was a little to my disappointment. I felt that it was a little run down generally.
Sydney's Chinatown
Time was not on my side for a trip to Sydney Tower. Only manage to glimpse it from different locations from the city.

After Chinatown, it's almost time for me to catch the train back to the airport. Quite like the grand look on Central Station as I approach from the north.

I agree with aussiedoug on this - you need to go back to Sydney for at least a few days -- still a few hours is better than nothing! Hope you had a good time at your final destination . . .
