There is a cute Canadian couple that came to visit recently. My dear friend
Hans aka waalewiener and his bride, my big sis,
LoriPori It was so nice to have them here, we hope they return soon.
A visit to Hollywood Beach would never be complete if my favorite "Chicagoan/part time Indianan never came to stay.
Dabs has managed two visits inside a year's time. I think it was those pumpkin pancakes or the lure of a backyard pizza oven.
Kristi came back in October of 2007.All I know is that she
a) Laughs at all my husband jokes (this in and of itself is a small miracle somewhere along the order of the loaves and fishes. My husband is always in need of new material and loves it when Kristi comes to visit because he can try the "old worn out, not funny anymore, get a life, dear" stuff on her.
b) She requires very little just stock up on Diet Mountain Dew and peanut M & M's and
C)She appreciates my bed and breakfast. All in all she is a great guest and always lets me do the cooking! ;-))
Update: Nov 2007: The word on the street has it that 2 more of my favorite VT'ers have come and gone (always too soon) down this way. madamx and jojocan came to stay at the Mandalay Embassy Suites and our time spent together was so much fun. 2 great gals whom I hold in high regard. Another fine example of the kind of people you meet on VT.StephanBIf your name is "Steve" you can come visit me in Hollywood Beach"
\Steve B generously took me to breakfast at Mrs Olsen's Coffee Hut here in HB. We were also joined by his lovely mother, Ann. We talked of Steve's upcoming trip basically around various parts of the world.
I truly enjoyed meeting all of them and somehow predict that Annika will become the next "Kinga Free Spirit" or better yet...Iris2002.
I wish you safe and happy journeys , Steve. Good Karma all the way!
On Saturday August 13, I had the distinct pleasure of sharing my hometown of Hollywood beach and Ventura with another Steve
spgood301 We had a delightful day on our whirlwind tour of the towns. I think I ran Steve ragged with visiting the local art show, breakfast at Mrs Olsen's, the Ventura Harbor, The Olivas Adobe, The archaeological dig/museum, The Mission San Buenaventura, walking the historic downtown area and the Anacapa Brewery.
