Town Centre In Reading

Reading - Where i lived until July 2005

Reading is a town about 50 miles West of London which has the River Thames running through it. I lived in Reading nearly all my life and consider it to be quite a good place to live, with good shopping, cinemas, theatres, restaurants and pubs and especially good transport links to London and the nearby airports of Heathrow and Gatwick. On the negative side though, it is not really a place which has many amazing attractions to warrant people coming to visit from far outside. It has too many ugly office buildings and doesn't seem to make enough of it's riverside location along the Thames. However, come the August Bank Holiday Weekend over 100,000 young people arrive at the town for the 3 day Reading Festival, which for over 20 years has featured many of the top names in rock music such as Nirvana, Metallica, Green Day, in a huge out-door setting.

I moved up North to Manchester in August 2005.
