CORK Legend has it that Saint Finbarr,Cork's patron saint left his hermitage at Gouganne Barra,which is the source of the River Lee and traveled it's course to near it's journeys end where he set up home where this splendid cathedral now stands.

This is a lovely pedestrain area in Cork City full of interesting shops like,"The Mainly Murder Bookshop"! it has some lovely cafe's and resturants too.Enjoy the buskers in nearby "Rory Gallagher Place" or experience the peace in Saint Peter and Paul's Catholic church with it's beautiful wood carvings.
Pay a visit to the Crawford Art Gallery where admission is free,it's a beautiful gallery. Art Gallery
There are interesting lanes off Paul Street including "French Church Street".
