Life goes on, I can't wait!

And, all I want is this

Hello and thanks for stopping by! I have been on VT for 3 years now and I enjoy every aspect this site has to offer from obtaining travel information, to helping others with travel info, making friends and providing a photo album for my family/friends that is accessible "virtually" at any time. It's an ingenious concept and I give kudos to JR and Tilman for this idea.

I've had a most interesting life thus far. More about that in my bio. It's been an incredible journey. "Life is Good" is what the wonderful man in my life always tells me. But yet, as good as life can be, life is also too short. It is my hope, that in my lifetime, I can see the world.

I live about 20 minutes east of Los Angeles but consider SoCal (Southern California) my home. Any given weekend, I'm in Orange County, Pasadena, Santa Monica, Big Bear, who knows! I'm definitely not a stay at home kind of person. I'm always on the go and always wondering where are we going next.
View from Seoul Tower

My most recent excursion was a quick one week trip to South Korea! Unexpectedly, the opporutunity to go fell into my lap two weeks prior! Should I go, should I not? VTer's helped me make my decision and I'm glad I went. My Maui trip was cancelled due to the ATA Airlines filing bankruptcy so the timing worked out well. It was a most interesting trip, to say the least!
Haeundae Beach in Busan
We spent a few days in Seoul and traveled down to Busan for a few days, too! We met Dave (member name DSwede) in Ulsan one evening. Please see my beautiful sunrise photo in Busan. All photos on my travel pages are taken by me unless I specify otherwise. Please visit my travel pages for more details on our trip!

Our next big trip is to Thailand in October! I'm very estatic about it! Whoo hoo!

So, if I were to build a wish list, it would start off like this (not necessarily in this order)...

Italy
England
Australia
India
Brazil
Switzerland
Germany
Carribean
Costa Rica
Peru
Japan (again)
Canada
New Zealand
Scotland
I know I can add a lot more!

A funny story...

A man walking along a California beach was deep in prayer. All of a sudden, he said out loud, "Lord grant me one wish". Suddenly the sky clouded above his head and in a booming voice the Lord said, "Because you have TRIED to be faithful to me in all ways, I will grant you one wish".
The man said, "Build a bridge to Hawaii, so I can drive over anytime I want".

The Lord said, "Your request is very materialistic. Think of the enormous challenges for that kind of undertaking. The supports required to reach the bottom of the Pacific! The concrete and steel it would take! I can do it, but it is hard for me to justify your desire for worldly things. Take a little more time and think of another wish, a wish you think would honor and glorify me".

The man thought about it for a long time. Finally he said, "Lord, I wish that I could understand women. I want to know how they feel inside, what they are thinking when they give me the silent treatment, why they cry, what they mean when they say 'nothing' and how I can make a woman truly happy".

The Lord replied, "You want two lanes or four on that bridge?"
Another Story.....
This old man, of 81 years old, loves to fish. He was sitting in his boat the other day when he heard a voice say, "Pick me up." He looked around and couldn't see anyone. He thought he was dreaming when he heard the voice say again, "Pick me up." He looked in the water and there, floating on the top, was a frog. The man said, "Are you talking to me?" The frog said, "Yes, I'm talking to you. Pick me up. Then, kiss me and I'll turn into the most beautiful woman you have ever seen. I'll then give you more sexual pleasure that you ever could have dreamed of." The man looked at the frog for a short time, reached over, picked it up carefully, and placed it in his breast pocket. Then the frog said, "What, are you nuts? Didn't you hear what I said? I said kiss me and I will give you sexual pleasures like you have never had. Don't you want that?" He opened his pocket, looked at the frog and said, "Nah, at my age I'd rather have a talking frog."
A young man goes into a drug store to buy condoms.

The pharmacist says the condoms come in packs of 3, 9 or 12 and asks which the young man wants.

"Well," he said, "I've been seeing this girl for a while and she's really hot. I want the condoms because I think tonight's "the" night. We're having dinner with her parents, and then we're going out. And I've got a feeling I'm gonna get lucky after that."

"Once she's had me, she'll want me all the time, so you'd better give me the 12 pack."

The young man makes his purchase and leaves.

Later that evening, he sits down to dinner with his girlfriend and her parents. He asks if he might give the blessing and they agree. He begins the prayer, but continues praying for several minutes.

The girl leans over to him and says, "You never told me that you were such a religious person."

The boy leans over to her and whispers, "You never told me that your father is a pharmacist."
