Cayley Lodge Very comfortable here although dinner was a bit of a formal thing. That's how it feels when staff keeps a too watchful eye over your table. But this very British style lodge has a superb view and the people give a kind welcome. I still e-mail occassionally with the lady that runs the place. We had our first talk about South Africa and its current situation with her over a good glass of whisky. |
A bit of work I came back to work after this holiday, and labelled a workaholic. There was a project going on, I was projectmanager and I went on this trip at the height of negiotiations. Which sure p*ssed me off! So at every location I checked back through e-mail and mobile phone. Admit, there are worse places to hold office! |
Lamb Braai Braai (barbecue) is a big thing in South Africa. This whole lamb took about 4 hours to cook. A more usual braai is served already cooked. The dishes are presented in black pans that stand on the burning barbecues and you just take your pick! I'm sorry, this picture must be disgusting to vegetarians. But I loved it! |

LOL, thanks for the spitbraai pic. My mouth is watering! Went to the Drakensberg mountains on a rugby camp. At night we looked up at the stars to see satelites. Also spent my honeymoon there. Makes one think back... | jo104 Fri Jul 27, 2007 11:28 UTC
