Around Museumpark are various museums. They are all within mere minutes of walking distance from each other.
I visit all of them about once a year. All are situated around the Museumpark and within 5 minutes walking distance from one another. In summer the specially designed park hosts various cultural events like the Day of Romantic Music. |

The Netherlands Architecture Institute (NAi) is much more than a museum. It is a cultural institution, open to the general public, that concerns itself in a variety of ways with architecture, urban design and spatial planning. The Kunsthal presents culture in the widest sense of the word: old art, new art, design, photography - from elitist to popular. The Kunsthal frequently experiments with themes which in many cases provide the first impulse for an exhibition. This approach has resulted in an exciting and varied exhibition repertoire highlighting master-forger Han van Meegeren, lingerie, Lancia, Leonardo da Vinci, the Hague School of painters, children's furniture from all over the world and 19th-century cat portraits. More than 3300 square metres of exhibition space are available in the striking building designed by Rotterdam architect Rem Koolhaas - a work of art in its own right, making a visit to the Kunsthal well worth your while.
