At the end of the 19th century Neve Tzedek was built as a Jewish Quarter for those who wished to move out of Yafo. Today it has become the "in" place to live, mostly for intellectuals looking for something different. Behind the Dan Panarama Hotel which is situated at 10 Kaufman Street. Rokach House symbolizes the activity of the Jewish population in the Land of Israel, in the pre-Zionist era. In the year 1887 a new Hebrew neighbourhood was built in the sands out of which grew the city of Tel-Aviv. |
| | I've been to Neve Tzedek again and I'm adding some photos - it's such a nice area to wonder around and take pictures, they don't have to be of anything special. |

At the beginning of the 20th century it was a boy's school, a girl's school and a cultural center. Today the central plaza is used for open-air performances and festivals, and its halls for dance and drama presentations. The Bat-Sheva & Inbal Dance Companies, two of the best Israeli dance companies, perform here. |
