A great boat ride from Brielle Harbour Part 3

by Waalewiener - last update: Dec 11, 2003

We are still having lots of fun

Another beautiful boat
Here we are continuing on our boat trip this will be a much more quiet part of the trip.
Boats were docked still but not as many as before. The sun stayed out all day we got very lucky.
More boats
There we go the next stretch of the trip ,boats are still there
but we are the only ones in the canal moving besides the ducks.
Tugboat
It looks like a Tugboat and it probably is a Tugboat , but if it still performs as a Tugboat I really do not know.
Houses along the canal
We saw some very pretty houses along this canal the colours were all so different, so we are now getting close to open water .as you will see.
A look from the Cabin.
Here is a shot from inside the boat ,as you can see we are heading for open water. The wind immediately picking up and we even start to move a bit faster ,I would say a lot faster , let's open up Captain.
White boat
We are crossing a piece of open water ,but not for long soon we get to the other side where we plan to have a picknick .Just a 10 to 15 minute trip.We see more nice boats ahead of us.
Another boat
We are very close to the area where we are going to ,de
" Ruigeplaathaven '' ,It looks like some other boats had the same idea ,this is a nice area for a picknick.
Birds on Island.
As we got closer we saw some nice Birds ,these look like they were sleeping. They did not care if we were there or not. Well this is the end of travelogue Part 3 , there is one more to go ,come and join us if you like there is more to see.

Dag Hans, Two questions: Did the Geuzen of Brielle drink geuze before fighting the Spaniards? What is the meaning of Waalewiener. Anything to do with the river Waal?

So many places in Holland I have not yet seen - I love Holland I'd even consider living here, In Copenhagen there is a strong dutch influence in the Rosenberg Castle
