At the parliament of Northrhine Westphalia we found this cute little dog that was desperately trying to get his tennis ball out of the water fountain. He wasn't courageous enough to jump and the ball wouldn't come over just because of the dog screaming.... poor dog! |
| Now.. how does this clock work? |
|  | We went up the Rheinturm next. While waiting for the elevator the guys tried to figure out how the clock at the tower works.
We had a look over Düsseldorf from the top, saw Cologne Cathedral in the distance and the brave ones lied down on the windows. As we were getting thirsty we headed down again.... |
| | .... to have a look at some architecture of Düsseldorf's media port. I am still shocked that everybody thought the Gehry buildings were ugly. I think they are soooo beautiful. |

| | We still took our group picture here. People were staring at us as usual so we tried to be quick. The guy who was making the official pic with Martin's camera was quick as well.... actually he was so quick he didn't even push the button. So we didn't have a digital group picture with everybody.... we have to hope that the guy pushed the button of Fred's camera correctly. |

| | Oh well, here is almost the whole gang.... at least everybody who doesn't live in Düsseldorf is on this picture! |
| | As I mentioned earlier we were thirsty. We went to the "Schwan" to have a few drinks and talk and talk and talk.... Suddenly the sun went down.... and we went back towards the old town as Jacqueline had to catch her train home. |
| | The other 8 went to the Schlüssel (renamed Schlüffel for the day ;) for great Schnitzels, more drinks and laughs. 5 of them went to another bar afterwards but as we were all tired we called it a day rather early. |
| Hotel Sabsi turned into a "Sleep In" |
| | Stef, Martin and I went to my place with the last tram around midnight because we were a bit tired. As soon as we were here, however, we talked and talked and talked and when we went to bed finally..... it was almost 5 in the morning! Ouch! We continued the meeting the next day in Cologne, and there is a 3rd travelogue on my Cologne page! |
