Tenerife Goes Gran Luxe

When most people think of Tenerife, they imagine lager louts, string vests, and the clubbing/pubbing Veronicas Strip. They think of the crowded beaches of Playa de Las Americas and huge rundown apartment complexes.

At long last, it’s time to growl “move over” to drab and purr “buona sera” to fab as Tenerife’s new Town Planning rules outlaw high rise low market construction and welcome only the glamorous, the fabulous, and the ostentatiously wealthy five star hotel chains.

I recently checked out two of the very best new hotels that Tenerife has to offer, both of them situated on the quiet but up and coming verdant West coast of the Island in an area known as Guia de Isora. Both properties are truly amazing, but they are also so different from each other as to defy fair comparison.

Kew Gardens Restaurants
	The Glasshouse - special occasion restaurant by sue_stone We needed a special restaurant to dine in one night to farewell our friends who were moving back to Australia. 	Hush Brasserie, Stylish Mayfair Brasserie & Bar by sue_stone Located in Mayfair, just off the fashionable New Bond Street, is Hush Brasserie & Bar & Restaurant. This is a stylish place which is owned by Roger Moore's son, though there was no sign of the ex-Bond actor when we were there ; ) We dined at Hush one evening and really enjoyed the stylish atmosphere of the place.
