Since Bir-El-Ater is about 40 km from tunisian border, so it's easy to go visit there for a short period, you need just a passport and a car ;)
During my visit to Algeria Jan-Feb 2005 I went with my 2 brothers and a friend to southern tunisia to visit friends there and take tour in the region. it was very awesome.
We went to Tamerza which is just after the border, a nice small oasis and village, at the end of the day we went to Foum-El-Khenga to pass the night with friends (b.t.w people of south are very generous), the day after we continued until city of Tozeur.
Actualy the distance is not far , it just sometimes take time in the borders offices in both countries. Anyway the trip was very nice :)

I used to live in titri with my parents when I was young except the shccol period, because Titri is a country and no school at that time, I still like to go there when I visit the area, because I have a lot souvenirs there, may be it looks like nothing interesting to see but for me it's a special place ;)
