Shoping

by Cornelius40

This moment when you enter in shop or trying to looking some clothes for example, be sure in every place where I stay they give you the price so high. STRANGERS.NO NO NO. Never accept first price because example. I buy pulover, good one and first price was 5600 DA and after bargain and crying, crying, like woman can make for nothings..hihihihi I get pulover for 4000 DA.And this is also not so good price...buuu Especially in town Algier like any other town is special parts of town where is shopping good. But for me I thinkg Algier is the WOMANS PARADISE, shooes, clothes, sexy or elegant things is cheap and quality is ok. Alternative? What is this in Algier? No alternative, just enjoy your trip in Algier and after some days you can feel the real life, pulse of Mediteranian mixed whit France buildings...so shame that nobody can care for this vilas, gardens and so on...

Ridiculous prices

by Narviking

When I visited Algeria I was in the town of El Oued. It is a big centre for handicraft buying but most things were made with the tourist in mind and prices asked for were often ridiculously high. ,But... dont fall into the tourist trap of buying at the first price given. You are supposed to bargain ! PHOTO: AFTER A LITTLE BARGAINING I BOUGHT THIS RUG.

This certainly is not a mirage. Yes, somewhere 10 km from camp site, there is a watering hole. It is absolutely amazing.
