Favorite thing: The road that leads back to Annaba can be very scenic, weather permitting ! That was not really the case on the occasion of our visit ! When the weather is nicer, this is a famous drive for the Annabites (inhabitants of Annaba).
However, the first photo shows in the faraway background, the city of Annaba. In the middle, on a small peninsula (enlarge the picture), wealthy Annabites have a Summer house.
The second photo was taken closer to the city.
The third photo was at the entrance into the city, on the sea front Boulevard. The sky begins to clear but unfortunately, our drive to the cape is finished and anyway, in December, days are short and the sun is now very low on the horizon !

Favorite thing: In the continuation of Ras El Hamra stands a small, uninhabited island. It is nothing more than a rock a few meters high. When the weather is suitable, which was not the case, there are always a few people fishing or collecting sea food.

Favorite thing: At the end of Ras El Hamra stands the lighthouse, known as Bordj El Fnar, which means exactly "Fort of the lighthouse". It is a very windy place and as it was drizzling and cold, we did not stay very long out of the car, just enough to have a quick look at the landscape !

I have found in VT location database that Sidi Taher was the closest location to Ras El Hamra that was not in the database. So, let it build Ras El Hamra under Sidi Taher !
