Dumping grounds are now a serious problem in Algeria, given the increase of the population. Besides possible pollution and contamination of the web chain and of water, plastic bags are a real nuisance and can fly at long distance. Enlarge the photo, taken from the road and you will understand what I mean.

Algeria is trying hard to improve the housing situation and to build many lodgments but the country has not yet taken into account the problem of municipal wastes. Until now, most municipal wastes are dumped in places not to far from the cities. Depending of the kind of wastes, cattle can feed on it, as seen on these pictures.
