Dumping grounds are now a serious problem in Algeria, given the increase of the population. Besides possible pollution and contamination of the web chain and of water, plastic bags are a real nuisance and can fly at long distance. Algeria is trying hard to improve the housing situation and to build many lodgments but the country has not yet taken into account the problem of municipal wastes.
