go on an overland safari (with Drifters) and you'll have the time of your life! Enjoy the beautiful nature and thousands of wild animals. And....meet new friends from all over the world.See my travel report and photos at http://come.to/botswana Being very close (up to a couple of meters!) to game like lions, leopards, buffalo, crocodile, monkeys, giraffes, elephants, hippos.See my travel report and a lot of game pictures on my homepage at http://come.to/botswana

Visited Tuli Block Private owned land with game (elephant, buffalo etc) from there went through tribal land going north up to Selibwe Pikwe, a vibrant town with a electrical power station. An interesting thing I saw was Vetenarian Fences, this is well organised by the Government to ensure that diseases in game and live stock are not tranered. The Government are very strict in this regard. The majority og the land is owned by the Government with tribal people have a sort of a permanent use of allocated land.

When visiting Botswana, you absolutely must vist the Okavango Delta. I was on a 3 week safari in Southern Africa and this place was my absolute favorite. You must stay a few days with the Botswana people in the Delta. Take a mokuro ride and take long game walks. Enjoy the breath taking scenery. This place is something that you would imagine in a movie. Beware..you will be without running water, electricity, bathrooms, etc...but it's unbelievably worth it. My fondest memory in Botswana was sitting around the campfire in the Okavango Delta with the Botswana tribe and we were all singing songs to each other from our own culture. The chief of the trive (the Mayaa tribe), Mr.Wom, sang 'Fishers of Men' to us...we listened to the most beautiful African folk songs....great time!!

Acacia Trees

I love the look of Acacia trees in the delta. They look so graceful. I kept meaning to get a picture of a really good one but just forgot. Eventually I got this pic when I was running out of time.
