The Rampant Aardvark: From waterhole to plate
Ghanzi town has few eating options, there are some Chicken n’ Chip places at the bus stand, the takeaway at the Spar supermarket and the over priced Kalahari Arms Hotel. Best take a walk (or get a taxi) a few kilometres back towards Gaborone to Chris and Jeanette Woolcott’s Rampant Aardvark at Thakadu Safari Lodge. It’s a great place to meet fellow travellers and get some onward travel tips; you might even be able to get a lift into the Central Game Reserve from one of the many professionals who stop by to network. All this and a view of wildlife visiting their waterhole. They offer a wide range of wild game, from Eland to Warthog at tame prices, with a convivial bar to lubricate your palette.
