Fondest memory: Kazungula Road Border Post in Botswana is 10 km from Kasane. It's easy to cross the border from Zimbabwe. A visa to Botswana is not necessary if you come from a "tourists generating country". But the immigration officers have a harsh behavior.

Fondest memory: Kasane is a small city on the south bank of Chobe River, in the north-eastern corner of Botswana. It's a boundary of Chobe National Park, and serves as the administative center of Chobe District. The poplulation is less than 10,000 people. The city has a number of campsites, lodges and accommodations oriented towards the safari tourists.
Namibia is 300 meters away on the other side of Chobe river. But wetlands on the north side makes it imposible to cross the river. Chobe river runs into Zambezi river 8 km east of Kasane, at the place called Kazungula. Kazungula is an intersection of the highway to Gaborone, road to Kasane (8 km), ferry crossing to Zambia (1 km), and border crossing to Zimbabwe (2 km).
