 | Gaborone Restaurants | Tips 1 - 4 of 4 | | A great little restaurant, decorated authentically. The food is great and the servings are big for the price you must pay. They have everything from shark fin soup to snakebite juice(must try it!!)service could be better but this is a problem you will encounter all around Gaborone.
Im a vegetarian so i would have to say the stewed soya bean curd and a side dish of deep fried seaweed...yummy!!for the more daring meat eater, how about monkey brains....?? Colonel Harland Sanders did not invent fried chicken – he just perfected it. KFC has the full menu you find all over the world, but they do offer spicy rice here. Its right in the Mall, so if you want the usual – here you go. Leave a Comment Theme: AmericanPrice: less than US$10 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageAddress: THE MALL, P.O. The Hungry Lion is a large chain of fried chicken restaurants all over southern Africa and is owned & operated by those fantastic people of Shoprite grocery stores. Starting in 1997 they now have more than 113 fast food outlets operating in eight countries. Their motto is “For the love of chicken.” and they always seem to be busy. Also located in the Mall, you will never be without fried chicken in Gaborone! Leave a Comment

Chicken Lickin has some good combo meals and side dishes. They are famous for their small chicken sandwiches called “Slyders” that you can pick up in multiples. The ladies that work here are friendly and fast. How good is it? Its ok, its fast food fried chicken. They have several locations across Gaborone and they stay open a bit later than most. If you have not guessed by now, this and the other 2 fried chicken restaurants here in the Mall are all close together. My suggestion? Go to the one with the shortest wait. By the way, Chicken Licken was taken to court by KFC because they felt their name was to close to their “Finger licking good” slogan. KFC lost. Then Chicken Licken ran a TV advertisement that had an old guy who looked like Colonel Sanders eating here. They lost that one. Leave a Comment
