The scooters are cheap and easy to drive. Mamoudou drove one and I drove the other. Belinda sat on the back of Mamoudou's scooter. I had to get the seat adjusted, and we almost had a conflict with a bystanding Rastafarian style guy who insisted on invading our business space. But, the tank was full and we were off. The roads leading out to the lake are sandy and flat, and generally fun to drive over. The scooter really is much faster than a vehicle and less offensive to the bicycles and foot traffic that uses the roads to get things to market. I can't recall the prices, but they were very reasonable. The scooter places is located on the main drag in Banfora town.
