Gaoua's centre is really very compact and therefore easy to walk around. Apart from the market area which comes alive in daytime, the dusty streets are nice to walk around aimlessly just to soak up the atmosphere. Soon we found out we were the only foreigners there, something very pleasing for the children that formed hordes around us!
