One of my pet peeves with travel guides is that whilst they'll happily tell you what the electricity voltage is (230/240 volts at 50Hz in Burundi's case), they seldom - if ever - tell you in layman's language what the blasted plug you'll need looks like.
So, for what it's worth, both Burundi and Rwanda use standard French two pin plugs. However, be careful if you're intending to incorporate a foray into Uganda into your trip, as the British three pin plug with triangular pins are used there.
