The Pirata Bar is a favourite with tourists as well as locals. People party hard here especially when grogue is made available to them ;-) Bring your dancing shoes. More international than local music played.

Fridays and Saturdays are hot nights on this Bar, the crowd gets together to watch the concert of the local reggae band and afterwards the drums from Africa. This bar is the most typical in Santa Maria, have a seat and a beer in the flag painted tables of the bar. You can also order something to eat, the fish cachupa is delicious.
Dress Code: As casual as you can.

A: 2 years ago we were in Sta. Maria. As far as I remember, there was no shop in town, where you could rent a bike. May have changed by now. Maybe bigger hotels rent them...
