If you have time it's better to walk, you get to see things that you skip driving. I rent a jeep 3 days and made 100 km a day in a 600km2 island, and felt insatisfied.

A: Mindelo is in my opinion the most attractive town in Cape Verde. Nice town by the sea with colonial buildings and a pretty decent local nightlife.
