This is the biggest supermarket in Praia. You can find a changing selection of Capeverdian and international food and drinks. The trouble is just that it's not predictable if something will still be available next week... They might offer Dutch Gouda now and never again after. But it comes closest to a Western supermarket and is also quite pricey. Specialties like Parma ham are obcenely expensive if you compare it to local wage levels. .But it's definitely a good place for weekly shoppings when you don't want to walk around the market and search for goods. Wide range of food and drinks, other small household items, cosmetics, cleaning liquids, insect spray etc. At the exit local boys are waiting to help you with packing the goods and bringing them to your taxi. An adequate tip is around 20 Escudos.
The goat cheese from Santo Antão is delicious. Also try the sweet white wine from Fogo.
