Animal art, masks, wooden statues, batiks, local cloths, jewels and much more.... You can find it all in the Ivory Coast. In the big cities, at the coastline, in the national parks and near the tourist attractions you can always find art shops or local artists selling their items.
There's a souvenir market running along the road right outside Abijan. Souvenirs are of good quality, I liked the quality of carved wood. Always bargain, try to reduce the price as much as you can.
I paid about USD100 for one carved wooden bowl (about 20 cm diameter), two carved wooden elephants (about 20 cm in size) and about 15 small hippopotamuses (5-7 cm in size).
