There are a lot of cats around the restaurants in Dahab and they can be a real annoyance. Many of the restaurants have cushions and low tables so the food comes close to the cats. You can be lucky and eat without cats, but another time when you come back to the same restaurant the cats will not leave you alone, and you have to watch your food all the time. Sometimes the restaurants give you water to spray on the cats.

Small, chilled-out restaurant on the north end of the bay (Asla district), right next to the Eel Garden dive spot. Feels more open and remote than some of the other bustling establishments towards the centre of the bay, with the requisite shady khosha right on the beach giving a lovely view.
Favorite Dish: We only had one thing to eat here - breakfast, almost every morning for our entire stay! Fresh green salad, pitta, hummous, garlicy fuul (delicious saucy, lemony bean dish), potato chips, boiled egg. Perfect for vegetarians, very filling, just the thing to start a full day of diving.
